Save lots of Washingtons and Lincolns during our Presidents’ Day Sale!

In recognition of our nation’s highest office, and in particular those great men who grace our one- and five-dollar bills, we as a country celebrate Presidents’ Day by participating in one of our great traditions: taking the day off.

Here at Tahiti Village, we’re going it one further by offering you 30 percent off each night of a three-night visit over Presidents’ Day weekend!

That means you’ll save a bundle of Washingtons and Lincolns. If you ask us, there’s no better way to recognize them than that!

To book your Presidents’ Day weekend visit, please call (855) 386-4659. That’s (855) FUN-IN-LV. Please consult the flyer for travel and book dates. You may also book online. We hope to see you here!

Tahiti Village gets new RFID door locks!

Chances are you don’t give much thought to your room key until something annoying happens. For instance: It’s the end of a long day rolling dice at the casino and all you want to do is crash.

You blearily locate the doorway of your hotel room and dig into your pocket. Your fingers find the familiar plastic rectangle. Only mere seconds and a locked door separate you from a comfortable bed and restful sleep.

You slide the key into the lock mechanism. Red light. Huh? You try again. Red light. What the …? Even before you give it a third try (and receive confirmation of your complete and final failure), you know where this is headed: another red light and a long walk to the front desk for a replacement key.

Most everyone has a room key rejection story. With the recent installation of keyless entry locks on all room doors, our goal here at Tahiti Village is to make sure you never have another.

What does this wire-free Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) read-write technology mean? Well, if you’re anything like us, all you want to know is if the technology will make your life easier.

The answer is a resounding yes! RFID key fobs aren’t like mag-stripe keycards that can be demagnetized by cell phones or other articles in your pocket. What’s more, they need only be held a short distance from the lock reader to authenticate the holder. And as a contactless interface, RFID keys don’t collect dirt or require regular maintenance (unlike stripe cards).

It’s just another example of how we utilize your maintenance fees to keep Tahiti Village on the cutting edge – and more secure than ever.

Tahiti Village welcomes our CES visitors

LAS VEGAS – New gadgets, from the helpful (robot assistants) to the hopeful (autonomous vehicles) to the hair-raising (a follicle-stimulating helmet), are drawing visitors by the hundreds of thousands to the annual Consumer Electronics Show, which opened here today.

To all you attendees staying with us at Tahiti Village, we welcome you to our South Pacific-themed resort and hope you have a wonderful time during the convention. We are delighted you chose us as your CES headquarters.

If it wouldn’t be too big an imposition, could you please pick us up a few things from this year’s show? We’ve provided brief descriptions and photos so you’ll know what to look for. Thanks!

Vibrating shorts

These short shorts, sure to change the legless pants industry as we know it, contain two vibrating sensors on the belt, which connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth and help you navigate tricky urban environments by buzzing when you need to turn left or right. For those of us who do not know our left from our right, this is helpful technology indeed.

Levitating speakers

Ever since we saw The Exorcist we’ve been simultaneously fascinated and horrified by the sight of things normally grounded by gravity floating weightlessly in the air. So when we heard about levitating speakers, we knew we just had to have a look.

Here’s how it works: Powerful electromagnets housed inside an accompanying levitation station keep the speaker suspended in the air until the battery begins to run low, at which point the speaker descends to the levitation station and begins to charge wirelessly all by itself and with no interruption in the music.

What will they think of next? Answer …

Selfie drones!

These things are surprisingly affordable, making it even easier to indulge in our narcissism.

Virtual reality shoes

“Haptic feedback” and vibrations give you the sense of walking on the virtual surfaces you see in front of you when you don this special footwear. Now we can finally walk across a bed of flaming hot embers, building vital team camaraderie without suffering any of the agony.

Talking refrigerator

We need help sticking to our New Year’s resolution to eat healthier. What better than a talking refrigerator to guilt you into grabbing an apple? This gabby food box can also read out recipes, tell you when you’re running low on certain items, and dish out recipe suggestions based on its contents. Mmm, ice cream!

Thank you once again for staying at Tahiti Village. Have a great week!

Las Vegas New Years Celebration!

How do you distinguish New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas from any other night? Not easily. We are a city for which New Year’s revelry is a daily occurrence in spirit if not fact, so in order to meet the expectations of 300,000 or so visitors hoping for an even greater adrenaline rush, we are obligated to up our game. Is that even possible?

It is! There is an abundance of New Year’s Eve festivities in Las Vegas, highlighted by an eight-minute fireworks display above the Strip at midnight. So if you’re staying with us over the holiday and looking for something to do on NYE, you won’t suffer for options. Just click here for all the information.

It has been a great 2016 here at Tahiti Village, and we wish you all a happy and healthy New Year. We hope to see you in 2017!

It was “busyness” as usual at Tahiti Village in 2016

It has been an eventful year here at Tahiti Village, with numerous projects contributing to the value and beautification of your home resort.

January saw the completion of Phase II of our multimillion-dollar guest unit enhancement. Taken together with Phase I, which brought new flooring, carpeting, and sofa sleepers to all rooms, the addition of new furniture, lamps, bedding, and artwork will have us looking great for years to come.

The first month of 2016 also saw us begin work on our vacant lot beautification project, which resulted most significantly in the May opening of Manihi Isle. The land between the main pool and lazy river, for so long a fenced off stretch of dirt and rock, is now a tranquil gathering spot with green grass, fresh flowers, and lounge chairs.

Fresh coats of paint to all fences, carports, gates, and guest room interiors completed our January tasks.

In March we embarked on a major landscaping refresher and replacement, and in May we installed garage fencing and a fencing extension atop the Manor Suites wall.

The July launch of our new online store meant you could buy as much Tahiti Village gear as you like, wherever you were.

After a delay, dining room tabletops finally arrived in August and were promptly installed in the Bora Bora units. They can take anything you dish out!

Finally, in November, we installed SALTO lock systems on all exterior gates, including the pool area and lazy river. This state-of-the-art, wire-free Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is much more reliable than the old mag-stripe keycards. Best of all, the key won’t demagnetize if it comes into contact with your cell phone.

Thanks again for being part of the Tahiti Village family. We truly value your ownership and hope to see you in 2017. Happy New Year!

Whipped Coffee Sundae

Introducing The Village Cafe! Now you can enjoy more delicious beverage options.

Proof once again that we are always seeking ways to give you the best possible resort experience, we unveil the all-new Village Café.

Behold its eye-catching orange tile!

Marvel at its larger, easier-to-read menu!

Attached to the WikiWiki convenience store in the main lobby of Tahiti Village, in a remodeled space previously occupied by the Grab-N-Go, the Village Café will offer – in addition to the above-mentioned aesthetic enhancements – even more food and drink options to savor.

According to a well-placed source, espresso will join the ranks of scrumptious hot and cold coffee choices – providing the extra jolt you’ll need after an all-nighter on the Strip – and wraps will take their place among the existing delicious sandwich selections.

This same source also hinted at the possibility of a sushi platter, and for this we can only hope!

New Year’s Eve party!

After several high level executive meetings of the Tahiti Village blog staff, we decided today, with everyone mired in an inevitable back-to-work, post-Christmas malaise, was the perfect time to announce our annual New Year’s Eve party. Can you feel your spirits lifting yet?

The first thing we want you to know is – we’re having one! Predictably, it’s on New Year’s Eve, which this year falls on Dec. 31. So if you’re staying on property over the holiday and looking to blow into a noisemaker at midnight, we cordially invite you to celebrate the arrival of 2017 and send off its predecessor.

Doors to the 10th floor lounge of Tower 5, the location of this festive gathering, open at 10 p.m. We’ll have music, dancing, hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, plus party favors and a champagne toast at midnight, at which time you will be treated to a fireworks display from one of the best vantage points in all Las Vegas.

Tickets are $100 for owners and $125 for visitors. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit the concierge in the main lobby or call (702) 440-6915.

If you hadn’t planned on being here for the New Year’s holiday but the thought of complimentary NYE party tickets could sway you otherwise,  just click on our New Year’s Eve party ticket package to book a minimum three-night stay over the New Year’s weekend. You’ll get two complimentary tickets when you choose a one-bedroom Moorea or Bora Bora suite and four when you book a deluxe two-bedroom Royal Tahitian. You may also call 855-386-4658.

We wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope to see you soon!
