Masters of Hawaiian Music Come to Tahiti Village

On September 28, Tahiti Village had the honor of hosting Grammy Award-winning musician George Kahumoku Jr. alongside fellow Hawaiian music legends Led Kaapana and Jeff Peterson for a special evening of music, storytelling, and connection. From the first notes to the final autograph, the event brought a little piece of Hawaiʻi to Las Vegas and created an unforgettable experience for our guests and owners.

A Night That Started with Aloha

The evening began with a warm welcome from our own Jack Stone, who set the tone with a special ukulele performance before the headliners took the stage.

Guests gathered in the Main Lobby and enjoyed a selection of island-inspired refreshments, including Hawaiian pizza, macadamia nut treats, chocolates, and fresh lemonade. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and filled with anticipation as everyone settled in for the evening ahead.

Three Legends, One Unforgettable Performance

When George, Led, and Jeff took the stage, the lobby was transformed.

The rich sounds of slack key guitar filled the room as the artists shared songs, stories, and the traditions that have made Hawaiian music so beloved around the world. Between performances, they spoke about their journeys as musicians, the cultural importance of the music they play, and the generations of Hawaiian history woven into each melody.

It was more than a concert. It was an opportunity to experience the music, stories, and spirit of Hawaiʻi in an intimate setting rarely found outside the islands.

A Meet-and-Greet Worth Remembering

After the performance, guests and owners had the opportunity to meet the artists, take photos, collect autographs, and chat with the musicians themselves.

Guests also had the chance to browse exclusive merchandise and participate in a raffle featuring on-site dining vouchers and George Kahumoku merchandise. For a few lucky winners, it was the perfect way to cap off an already memorable evening.

Bringing Hawaiian Culture to Las Vegas

The night before, George, Led, and Jeff performed a full-length concert at the Windmill Library for a packed audience of Hawaiian music enthusiasts. Their appearance at Tahiti Village, however, offered something uniquely personal. Guests were able to sit just steps away from the performers, hear the stories behind the music, and engage with the artists in a way that isn’t possible at most concert venues.

Summer at Tahiti Village is always something special, but this year felt like one for the books. From new experiences to beloved traditions making their return, there was no shortage of memories made this season. Here is a look back at everything that made this summer so unforgettable.

Tahitian Nights Made Its Debut

One of the biggest highlights of the summer was the introduction of Tahitian Nights, our brand new complimentary Thursday evening event for guests and owners. The night kicks off at Manihi Isle with the return of our beloved Po Makeke Polynesian Night Market, where guests browse island-inspired goods and soak in the festive atmosphere. Later in the evening, the excitement builds even further as everyone gathers at the main pool for a breathtaking fire dancer performance by Hot Lava Productions. Watching families and couples experience it together each week has been one of our favorite parts of the season.

Good Food, Good Vibes, and Plenty of Poolside Moments

Some of the best summer memories are often the simplest ones!

This year, guests quickly fell in love with the new tacos and fresh lemonades at Olioli, which became a go-to poolside pairing throughout the season. Along with signature cocktails from the pool bar and the always-popular Dole Whips, there were plenty of opportunities to enjoy a treat between lazy river floats and afternoons in the sun.

Love, Mermaids, and the Lazy River

Summer brought some of the most memorable moments of the year. Guests had the chance to meet real-life mermaids at the Main Pool, where story times and poolside games added a little extra magic to summer afternoons. We also hosted two special vow renewal ceremonies, bringing together couples and families for celebrations filled with music, refreshments, and plenty of aloha.

And of course, no summer at Tahiti Village would be complete without spending every possible moment floating down the lazy river! 🌴️

A Summer Evening Your Family Will Never Forget

Every Thursday evening this summer, something magical happens at Tahiti Village Resort & Spa. The sun begins to dip, the air cools just enough, and the heart of the resort comes alive with the sights, sounds, and spirit of Polynesia. Welcome to Tahitian Nights, our complimentary weekly event for guests and owners that runs now through September 24th.

Whether you are already staying with us or planning your Las Vegas summer getaway, here is everything you need to know about one of the most memorable evenings your family can experience this summer.

5:30 PM – The Po Makeke Market Opens

The evening kicks off at Manihi Isle, our beautiful outdoor space nestled right between the main pool and the lazy river. Starting at 5:30 PM, the Po Makeke Polynesian Market comes to life with a curated selection of local vendors bringing island-inspired goods right to you.

Browse handcrafted treats from Sweet Kings Vegas, or let the kids get a stunning henna design from Desert Flower Henna. Looking for something to take home? Pretty Ululani brings beautiful island-inspired pieces that make for the perfect keepsake. The market carries on throughout the entire evening, so there is plenty of time to explore, shop, and soak in the atmosphere with the whole family.

7:30 PM – The Fire Show Begins

Just as the sky begins to glow, make your way to the main pool for the moment everyone has been waiting for. At 7:30 PM, Hot Lava Productions takes the stage for their breathtaking Tahitian Nights fire show, and this is not your average performance.

The energy is electric, the fire is mesmerizing, and the best part? Your family gets to be part of it. Kids and adults alike are invited to come up and dance alongside our hula dancers, making it an interactive experience that goes far beyond just watching. It’s a lively celebration that brings everyone together and adds a little extra magic to your trip.

The show wraps up at 8:30 PM, giving families a perfect ending to a beautiful summer evening in Vegas.

Meet the Vegas Mermaids at Tahiti Village

At Tahiti Village, Sundays come with a little extra excitement! From April through September, our main pool transforms into a lively, one-of-a-kind experience featuring the Vegas Mermaids from FantaSea Productions.

Every Sunday at 11am, guests can head to the sand-entry pool to catch the show. With shimmering tails, playful moments, and an interactive atmosphere, it is an easy way to turn a pool day into something truly memorable during your Las Vegas getaway.

Meet the Mermaids

Seeing the mermaids glide through the water is captivating on its own, but what truly sets this experience apart is the chance to interact. Kids can meet mermaids like mermaid Nami, who brings a fin-tastic energy to every appearance.

From gathering for story time to listening to ocean-inspired tales, the experience naturally draws kids in. They can ask questions, learn a bit about life under the sea, and watch as the mermaids show off their conch blowing skills. With a little friendly competition and a few playful moments mixed in, it keeps things fun without missing a beat.

Little ones are fully engaged, while adults get to enjoy watching it all unfold. After the fun wraps up, guests have the chance to snap a photo with a real-life mermaid before she heads back to sea.

Every Valentine’s Day, Tahiti Village welcomes couples for a vow renewal ceremony that honors love and connection. This year, couples of all ages came together for a day full of heartfelt moments and celebration. Upon arrival, each couple received a kukui nut lei to exchange—a meaningful gesture representing respect, admiration, and the aloha spirit.

The ceremony was led by Jack, our Head of Aquatics, who guided the event with warmth and care. With live ukulele music, singing, and a Hawaiian blessing, couples shared their vows, expressing love, gratitude, and commitment. Friends and family cheered as each pair reaffirmed their bond, creating an atmosphere that was intimate, joyful, and full of aloha. The experience was a beautiful celebration of connection and devotion, leaving lasting memories for everyone in attendance.

After the ceremony, guests continued the celebration with mimosas, appetizers, and lively conversation. Couples and families mingled, shared stories, and laughed together, forming connections with fellow guests that went beyond the ceremony itself. 2025 NFR Meet & Greet Recap at Tahiti Village

NFR week at Tahiti Village is always something we look forward to—and this year’s Meet & Greet with Luke Brown did not disappoint! From meaningful guest interactions to unforgettable family moments, the 2025 event was a standout celebration of rodeo, community, and connection. 

As Las Vegas is filled with NFR excitement, Tahiti Village once again brought the rodeo spirit right to our guests—creating a memorable experience without ever leaving the resort. 

Welcoming Back Luke Brown

This year, we were proud to host Luke Brown for two special Meet & Greet days during NFR. A true legend in the sport, Luke is a:

• 16-time NFR Qualifier

• 3-time NFR Average Winner

• 2-time American Rodeo Champion

Throughout both events, Luke spent time signing autographs, taking photos, and connecting with guests in a relaxed, welcoming setting. His genuine interactions made the experience feel special for guests of all ages. 

A Meaningful Experience for Owners 

Owners enjoyed an exclusive Meet & Greet that offered a more intimate way to spend time with Luke. This smaller gathering allowed for extended conversations, photos, and raffles inside 17 South. 

Guests enjoyed refreshments, including coffee and pastries, making it a warm and welcoming way to kick off the day. 

Main Lobby Fun for All Guests 

The main Meet & Greet in the Tahiti Village lobby was filled with excitement from start to finish. One of the biggest highlights was the dummy roping demonstrations, where Luke showed off his skills and then invited guests—especially the kids—to give it a try. Watching young ropers step up, learn from a pro, and celebrate their successes brought smiles all around and quickly became a crowd favorite. 

The energy stayed high throughout the event with raffles that kept guests eagerly waiting for each drawing. Lucky winners walked away with great prizes, adding even more excitement to an already unforgettable afternoon. Between the roping action, photo opportunities, and cheers from the crowd, the lobby was buzzing with fun, laughter, and memorable moments for guests of all ages.
