Manihi Isle is the newest great place to gather at Tahiti Village

We are pleased to report the land between the main pool and lazy river, once a fenced off stretch of forbidding dirt and rock, is now a tranquil gathering place with green grass, fresh flowers and lounge chairs.

We call it Manihi Isle.

The 4,000-square foot space will serve as an attractive venue for a variety of activities and offer a more direct route between our popular aquatic attractions. Visitors going back and forth between the pool and lazy river can access Manihi Isle – pronounced Muh-knee-hee – through new interior gates and reduce their travel time.

To celebrate the grand opening, we’ve scheduled a three-pack of fun for this weekend beginning Friday, May 27, with a happy hour featuring food, music, games and a cash bar from 2-6 p.m.

Saturday, May 28, is movie night. The festivities begin at 4 p.m. and include face painting and games like bocce ball, waterfall fishing and cornhole. The movie will begin at dusk. Popcorn, a variety of other fun food, and a specialty cocktail from our cash bar will be available.

We’ll conclude the Manihi Isle grand opening weekend with a luau brunch from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sunday, May 29. You’ll listen to authentic Tahitian music as you enjoy a continental-style breakfast with juice.

Be sure to stop in for a look on your visit to Tahiti Village. We think you’ll be impressed.

Vacation ownership at Tahiti Village now an even greater value

An increase in lodging rates in 2015 – up more than 18 percent over the previous year owing to a rise in travel frequency – now more than ever underscores the value of vacation ownership.

Consistency of cost is a timeshare hallmark, and while hotel room pricing rose to an average of $102.64 per night in 2015 from $86.55 in 2014, your vacation club remained unaffected by market trends and subsequent supply and demand economics.

Ownership means you are never subject to the unpredictable pricing practices of opportunistic Las Vegas hotels, whose rates rise exorbitantly with each UFC event, mega boxing match or New Year’s Eve weekend.

Conversely, the cost of timeshare ownership remains steady and affordable, with property upkeep through the responsible application of maintenance fees the primary objective – not the wringing of every last dime out of the consumer.

As you’ve discovered, timeshare ownership at Tahiti Village is a great bet, and as we celebrate our 10 anniversary this year, we are humbled and honored to count you among our thousands of vacation club members. We take seriously our responsibility to provide you with a beautifully maintained property and look forward to helping you make wonderful vacation memories year after year.

Where to Enjoy the Sun in Las Vegas

In addition to the ritzy casinos and glamorous nightclubs, Las Vegas also offers a wide range of outdoor fun possibilities. To make the most out of your stay, check out these local opportunities that balance fun in the sun with some relief from the heat.

Lake Mead

Head out of town to play in the refreshing waters of Lake Mead. About thirty minutes from the Strip, the lake offers plenty of options for fun such as swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, and scuba diving. You can even take a cruise on the Desert Princess, a three-level paddle boat. Two of the levels are enclosed and climate-controlled, so you can stay perfectly cool while enjoying the lake.

Outdoor Patio Dining on the Strip

You will want to take in the sights while you are in town, of course. From the fountains at the Bellagio to the canals at the Venetian, there is a lot to see and do on the Strip. All that walking in the sun can get exhausting, though, so enjoy the shade at one of the restaurants along the strip that offer patio dining. Serendipity 3, located near the fountains at Caesars Palace, is the perfect place to cool down with an ice cream sundae. If you are near the Wynn when hunger strikes, check out the breakfast or lunch menu at Terrace Pointe Café, where you can be seated on the poolside patio.

Water Parks

If you plan on bringing your whole family to Las Vegas this summer, a visit to one of the city’s water parks is sure to be a big hit with the kids. In addition to their usual water fun, Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas offers a new gaming experience this year called Slideboarding, which allows you to rack up points by hitting targets on the way down the slide.

The Pool at Tahiti Village

One of the best ways to enjoy being outside without burning up is to spend some time at the gorgeous pool area at Tahiti Village. Surrounded by hundreds of sculpted palm trees, the pool boasts a sandy beach entry and full-service Tiki Bar. Whether you are sipping a cocktail in the shade or playing pool volleyball in the play area, you can stay cool while working on your tan.

Enjoy the sun without burning up in Las Vegas this summer with a few of these great outdoor activities.

Our Fifth Anniversary Luau Season Concludes Sunday

The fifth anniversary season of our popular weekly luau concludes this Sunday in the Island Courtyard. The luau is one of our most popular resort events, and we thank everyone who attended our weekly summer showcase in 2014. We hope you will join us for more tropical fun, food and entertainment next summer.

“A lot of hard work goes into preparing for an event of this size,” said Mike Rounds, Tahiti Village general manager. “Our luau wouldn’t have been nearly the success it was without the effort and dedication of our great staff. They came through week after week.”

This year’s luau, which included even more entertainment, was well received and drew consistently large crowds all summer. We look forward to another great season in 2015.

First Luau Of The Season Means Summer Has Arrived

The May 18 summer luau, the first of 2014, drew a large crowd to the Island Courtyard for a night of great food and wonderful entertainment. With nearly 200 tickets sold, it was one of the most successful opening nights in the event’s history. Last night’s menu featured an enticing buffet of kalua pork, grilled boneless breast of chicken with pineapple sauce and a fresh Asian vegetable stir fry with peapods and shrimp in a ponzu reduction. Now in its fifth year, our popular luau is 7 p.m. every Sunday through Labor Day. We hope to see you!
