Pay a visit to this year’s San Gennaro Feast. You’ll know you’re there when you smell the sausage and peppers!

Consider yourself so very lucky if a portion of your visit this year coincides with the dates of the San Gennaro Feast, an annual celebration that ostensibly honors a saint but is generally patronized for the food. If you are here May 8-12, you owe it to yourself to attend this yearly festival. The San Gennaro Feast has delectable Italian dishes, great entertainment and a variety of games and amusement rides for the entire family. And it’s just 10 miles from Tahit Village at 4245 S. Grand Canyon Drive. The San Gennaro Feast, which honors Saint Gennaro (or Januarius), the patron saint of Naples, is one of the premier events on the Las Vegas social calendar. It is a great attraction for locals and visitors alike, and with very affordable admission prices it is a great bargain as well. Don’t miss it! Click on the poster to be directed to the San Gennaro website for times, ticket prices and location.

Tahiti Village is the midpoint resort for Ragnar Las Vegas

Tahiti Village is proud to be the official midpoint resort of the Ragnar Las Vegas relay race Nov. 9-10.  The overnight run begins at the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort on Mount Charleston and ends at Lake Mead, a circuitous 197.6 miles with your home resort right in the middle. Ragnar relay teams typically consist of 12 competitors who take turns running up to eight miles three times each, essentially passing one another off like human batons until the finish line.

The Ragnar Relay Series takes its name from King Ragnar, a marauding 9th century Norse hero who fearlessly explored and conquered new lands. Runners competing in Ragnar events share the same free-spirited sense of adventure.  For more infomation on the Ragnar Las Vegas race visit:

Experience a Vegas night out that’s more than you think

Boarding our new Saturday Night Shuttle is a great way to sample a variety of nightlife opportunities within minutes of Tahiti Village. The shuttle departs every Saturday night for Wish, a favorite of Las Vegas locals where you can have a Strip nightclub experience without the lines, cover charge and attitude. From there the shuttle heads to Town Square, a popular retail and dining center that heats up after dark with numerous entertainment choices. Of course if nothing but the Strip will do, we’ll be happy to put you right in the center of the action. Click on the link below for comprehensive information on Saturday night fun.

Our new nightclub affiliation will leave you in a Haze

Lots of Vegas nightclubs call themselves “cutting edge,” but few actually deliver the goods. Haze actually does by virtue of its location, inside the luxurious Aria Hotel and Casino at City Center, and state-of-the-art everything.

We are pleased to announce our new affiliation with the Light Group’s hottest nightspot, from the same partnership that brought you Jet. We are now offering shuttle service to Haze every Friday and Saturday night beginning Feb. 3. It is the same arrangement we had with Jet, which ended with the Mirage nightclub’s closing last Labor Day weekend. We will depart from the lobby at 10 p.m. and return at 2:45 a.m.

Female Tahiti Village owners and guests get in free. The first 15 male owners who register with a concierge are also admitted free. Additional male owners receive a discounted admission rate, and non-owner females and males pay a discounted admission rate.

Now you have another great reason to put your owner’s card to use. No wristbands required. Please register with a concierge or call (702) 440-6915 for information.

Red Rock Canyon Las Vegas

Red Rock Canyon tour resuming this week

It’s baaaaaccckkkk!

Our popular Red Rock Canyon tour, presumably on hiatus for the winter season, is making a welcome and unexpected return starting Tuesday (Jan. 10). The tour officially ended Dec. 1 and
was replaced by the seasonal Ethel M Chocolate Factory lighted cactus garden tour, which concluded Jan. 1, and briefly by the Clark County Museum tour. The latter was earmarked to last through winter, but with mild weather forecast for the immediate future, we decided to resume our weekly visits months ahead of schedule. We’ll depart every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the main lobby. The tour lasts two hours and includes a trip around the famous 13-mile Scenic Loop. Sure you could take your own car, but what fun would that be? Leave the driving to us, sit back, relax and take in the grandeur of one of the world’s scenic wonders with your fellow owners and guests. It’s a great reminder that Las Vegas is much more than the Strip, shows and all-you-can-eat buffets.

We bid farewell to JET and welcome 1OAK

We regret to inform you that this Labor Day weekend marks the last time you can party at JET. The Mirage’s popular nightclub will close Tuesday, Sept. 6, and in grand Las Vegas tradition reopen New Year’s Eve with a new look and new name (1OAK).

As you probably know, our successful affiliation with JET allowed many owners free entry (and non-owners generous discounts) into the best nightlife experience in Las Vegas. Hundreds of Tahiti Village visitors enjoyed dancing the night away on any of JET’s three dance floors. The good news is, we are negotiating to continue our partnership with the Mirage and hope to have a similar affiliation in place for 1OAK’s grand opening New Year’s Eve 2011.  The new club will be a West Coast version of the edgy and exclusive New York City hotspot operated by the Butter Group, which runs a collection of trendy venues. The name 1OAK is a synonym for “one of a kind.” It boasts a décor featuring walls padded with ostrich leather, oak ceilings and black lacquer. The Las Vegas club will take its attitude from the New York venue, but assume a look and feel all its own.

“We are thrilled to be expanding the brand into one of the most celebrated entertainment destinations in the world,” said Scott Sartiano, managing partner at 1OAK.

Andrew Sasson, founder of the Light Group, the Las Vegas nightlife operator that runs JET, said in a statement: “1OAK Las Vegas will be a truly unique nightlife experience that will set new industry standards in Las Vegas.”

Party all night at Jet Nightclub

We’re all about relaxation here at Tahiti Village, but once the sun goes down we know many of you hear the siren call of the Strip. That’s why we’ve partnered with Jet, Las Vegas’ premier nightclub in the luxurious Mirage hotel and casino. After whiling away the day by the pool or floating down the Lazy River, you can party all night in one of Jet’s three distinct rooms, each with its own dance floor and sound system. Our shuttle departs for Jet from the lobby area at 10 p.m. every Thursday through Saturday. Jet offers high energy ambiance from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m., with vibrant lighting and intense sound, go-go dancers and shot girls, and 10,000 square feet of party space that can accommodate up to 2,000 people. Don’t worry if you indulge a little too much. We also take you back to Tahiti Village at the end of the night.

Please dress to impress. Shorts, T-shirts, hats, flip-flops, sneakers and sports attire are prohibited, but jeans in good condition are allowed. If you want to experience an evening at Jet, please register with a concierge here on property. Owners will receive a special orange wristband with the Tahiti Village logo. Non-owners will wear a blue one. Your information will be designated in the owner and non-owner Jet guest list report. Registration cutoff is 9 p.m. When you arrive at the nightclub, you must mention that you are on the Tahiti Village guest list and show your wristband to be admitted. Our shuttle driver will provide you with directions to the nightclub entrance and inform you of the last departure time from the Mirage north valet.
