Summer Sunday Luau Enters Last Month Of Season

This Sunday’s luau, the 11th of 15 weekly events featuring authentic Polynesian entertainment and cuisine, marks the final month of the 2014 season for our popular summer showcase. The season began on Memorial Day weekend and will end on Labor Day weekend, the last Sunday in August. The few remaining dates are as follows:

  • Aug. 3
  • Aug. 10
  • Aug. 17
  • Aug. 24
  • Aug. 31

To reserve your tickets with special owner pricing, please call (702) 440-6915. Join us Sundays from 7-10 p.m. in the Island Courtyard. You’ll be greeted by friendly resort team members bearing colorful leis, and then dine on a specially prepared buffet of island-style favorite flavors. There is also free island punch and lemonade, plus a cash bar.

While you’re eating, Hot Lava’s singers, dancers and specialty acts will thrill, delight and whisk you away to a tropical paradise right here in the desert. Their island offerings include a mix of fun Polynesian songs and hula dances with audience participation. Things really heat up when a master fire dancer hits the stage!

See it while you still can!

Summer Sunday Luau

Tahiti Village Resort Las Vegas

Summer Pool Update: Luau Starting, Water Bottle Rule Relaxing, Dive-in Movie Schedule Changing

Summer is heating up in a big way here at Tahiti Village, with the first of 19 scheduled luaus kicking off this Saturday night. Last year’s hottest ticket is even bigger and better than before. Hot Lava will add more dancers and entertainment value to its already popular show, Tahiti Joe’s will serve up a delicious Polynesian-style buffet, and we are implementing a new later show time (7 p.m.) to give you a reprieve from the heat.

Tickets are $27.99 plus tax for owners ($32.99 plus tax for guests). Children age 4- 10 are $14 and kids three and under get in free. VIP seating is available and includes early access to the buffet. VIPs will also receive their choice of a complimentary cocktail or souvenir photo. The final luau of 2012 is scheduled for Sept. 8. Last year the weather permitted us to extend the luau into late September. For more information call (702) 440-6945.

Those of you who follow the blog are now acquainted with Nevada Administrative Code 444.288, which prohibits the transportation of outside food and beverages into public swimming and bathing facilities. After further discussion with the Clark County Health Department, we are happy to announce you can bring your own sealed plastic water bottle (one bottle per person per entry) into the pool area and Lazy River.

We are doing our best to comply with the code in light of the health department’s recent imposition of fines and sanctions against existing resorts that have violated NRS 444.288. We hope this relaxation of the code contributes to your enjoyment of our resort. You can refill your empty water bottle free of charge at water stations in the pool area and Lazy River.

Our other big water announcement concerns a change in the Dive-In Movie schedule. Previously held every Wednesday and Friday, the Dive-In Movie will now be 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday and Sunday beginning May 2. We will show Shark Tale every Wednesday in May and Mr. Popper’s Penguins every Sunday. As always we offer free popcorn and lemonade.

We wish you a great summer and look forward to your visit!

Tahiti Village Resort Las Vegas

What’s happening this summer? A lot – and it’ll be hot!

Summer will be here before you know it. At Tahiti Village that means our activities schedule will heat up with an abundance of fun things to do in or near the water, including our popular luau starting May 5. We have already gotten a jump on the season with our popular Dive-In Movie, which we recently reintroduced.  It will run through summer (and perhaps into fall, weather permitting).

Summer is by far our busiest season, and we want you to enjoy your time with us safely and to the fullest. To that end you will see an increased staff presence effective April 1 at the entrances to our main pool and Lazy River. In the past we have experienced incursions of guests from other properties who wish to experience the unique features of our aquatic areas. We ask that you remember to always bring your room key with you to the pool and Lazy River.

The extra staff will also be better able to enforce our existing rule prohibiting the transportation of outside food, beverages and coolers into the pool area and Lazy River. We are bound by Nevada Administrative Code 444.288, which forbids food or drinks in public bathing or swimming facilities except in areas that have been approved by the health department. Recently the Clark County Health Department has stepped up its enforcement of this code, imposing stiff fines on properties found in violation.

The exception to this code is food and beverages prepared and served by the host facility, in our case Tahiti Joe’s, our licensed onsite restaurant and tiki bar. We are happy to announce an expansion of our food and beverage options from Tahiti Joe’s will be available for purchase and can be enjoyed poolside or at the Lazy River.

We are looking forward to a great and safe summer season at Tahiti Village and can’t wait to see you! We think our focus on the existing safety policies will ensure you have the best possible time during your stay.
