The annual Easter egg hunt, the most anticipated event on our spring activities calendar, returns to Tahiti Village this Sunday. Young collectors and their parents should meet at the Island Courtyard for the 9 a.m. start time. We will have hidden a bounty of more than 3,000 plastic candy-filled eggs throughout the lazy river for our intrepid searchers to poach. Following the hour-long hunt we’ll have music, games and a craft station set up in the Island Courtyard for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss it!

Tahiti Village Facebook page receives its 100,000th “Like”
Positive affirmations are like gold in social media, and we struck it big when our Tahiti Village Facebook page recently received its 100,000th like. We would never have believed it when we launched in December 2013 or even as recently as September 2014, when we got just our 5,000th. The fact we have achieved 100,000 likes in just over two years is a testament to the efforts of our staff, the enthusiasm of our fans, and above all the influence of social media. As we rocket past 100,000 on the way to what we hope will be many more, we thank all our valued owners for taking the time to visit our Facebook page and click “Like.”
Las Vegas Transportation Guide
With a little planning, your Las Vegas adventure can be hassle-free from start to finish. An important thing to consider when preparing for your trip is transportation.
Knowing in advance how you’ll get from place to place will save you valuable time and allow you to enjoy your time in Vegas to the fullest. Here are some top transportation options for Vegas visitors.
The Deuce Bus
Locals call the bus the “Deuce” because it has two floors, much like the famous double-decker buses of London. This gold-painted bus runs 24 hours a day to ensure that no matter what time it is, you can get where you need to go.
The bus is certainly the most affordable option when it comes to navigating the city, and many would call it the most convenient as well. That’s why you’ll see locals and guests from all walks of life hopping on the Deuce.
The SDX
Another public transportation option is the Strip & Downtown Express (SDX). The bus is an express, limited-stop service connects the Strip to the downtown area. The SDX is a convenient and affordable way to get to some of the most popular attractions in the city.
The SDX runs from 9 a.m. to midnight every day of the week.
Uber & Lyft
Another option for getting from point A to B is a car service, such as Uber or Lyft. It’s quick and easy to book a ride online. However, you might find this to be a more expensive option than other forms of transportation. Las Vegas also has a taxi service, which you may want to compare with Uber and Lyft to find the most cost-effective option.
Tahiti Village Shuttle Service
There are plenty of reasons to stay at Tahiti Village. In addition to the elegant, comfortably equipped suites, you’ll also enjoy convenient transportation to Las Vegas’ hottest attractions.
The Tahiti Village Shuttle stops include the following: the Mirage, New York-New York Hotel & Casino, Downtown Fremont, Red Rock Canyon, Town Square, nightlife hotspots, and grocery stores.
General Vegas Transportation Tips
Although Downtown Vegas does have a variety of parking garages, you might find public transportation to be the easiest option. At first, it may seem more convenient to drive yourself rather than take a bus or shuttle; however, parking hassles are likely to change your mind.
Don’t waste vacation time looking for a parking space — opt for public transportation whenever possible. If you do choose to drive, research parking options in the area of your destination and figure out where you’re going to park ahead of time.
How to Find Family Friendly Deals in Las Vegas
If you’re traveling to Vegas with family, ensure that you take advantage of all of the great deals this dazzling city has to offer. It is entirely possible to enjoy a fun Vegas holiday with your family without breaking the bank. Here are a few tips to help you save money when traveling to Vegas with the family.
Look for Dining Deals
Contrary to popular belief, buffets aren’t always the way to go when dining with kids. In fact, buffets can end up costing more in the long run. Instead, look for restaurants with “kids eat free” promotions and discounted kids’ meals. There are plenty of different restaurants throughout the city that offer discounts and free meals for children.
Use Coupons
Before embarking on your family adventure, check discount sites like Groupon and Living Social for coupons that can be used at Vegas restaurants and attractions. By tracking down the best discounts before you leave, you’ll spend less time looking for bargains and more time enjoying everything Las Vegas has to offer.
Visit Attractions on Off Days
When planning your Vegas itinerary, consider visiting the attractions on your list during “off” days and times. Some attractions offer reduced rates depending on when you visit. Purchasing tickets to events in advance can also help you save. For example, Cirque Du Soleil offers reduced admission for customers who book show tickets at least three days ahead of time.
Opt for Free Attractions
Free attractions can also help you save money on your family’s Las Vegas vacation. The pool at Tahiti Village, complete with a lazy river is a great alternative to traditional, and often expensive water parks.
For a spectacular view, that won’t cost a cent, head to the Bellagio fountains or the Aquarium at Silverton. The Fall of Atlantis at Caesar’s Palace offers an entertaining free look at history while the Fremont Street Experience is sure to impress!
Book your family’s Vegas accommodations with Tahiti Village for an unparalleled vacation experience. With comfortable suites in a variety of sizes and convenient amenities that make you feel right at home, Tahiti Village has it all. The experience of a Tahitian resort can be amazingly affordable when
you book with us. There is plenty to enjoy at this resort — for starters, get pampered at the luxurious on-site spa or work up a sweat at the fitness center. Whether your group is small or large, we have the perfect suite waiting for you!

Benefits of Living in Las Vegas
As your vacation draws to a close, you pack your suitcase, say farewell to the glittering lights of the Strip and head back home. Along with your luggage, you are likely also carrying back with you some fond memories of the desert city. After an unforgettable vacation it’s only natural you may be thinking about making your next stay in Vegas a more permanent one. Here are just a few of the benefits you may enjoy by living in Las Vegas.
Entertainment
As an occasional visitor you are likely already familiar with one of the best features of living in Las Vegas—the entertainment. As a resident you could be reveling in your favorite Vegas activities anytime you want, whether that means playing the odds at the casinos, partying the night away at the clubs or enjoying one of the many unparalleled shows offered year round.
Food
If you are a foodie at heart, you will love having access to some of the finest and most diverse restaurant choices in the world. From the whimsical Le Cirque, a French restaurant housed in the Bellagio, to the elegant and fashionable Sage, where Chef Shawn McClain serves up a seasonal menu of creative American fare, there is no end to the delicious experiences waiting for you.
The Weather
Vegas enjoys an abundance of sunny days, averaging about 292 a year. Even during the winter, the temperature generally reaches close to 60 degrees, allowing you to easily continue your favorite outdoor activity in any season. Since there are some great national parks nearby, you can use some of those sunny days to go boating on Lake Mead, rock climbing in Red Rock Canyon or hiking in Zion National Park.
No State Income Tax
What more can be said? Since the state’s treasury is in large part funded by taxes and fees garnered from the gaming industry, Nevada residents get to pass on paying state income tax. Add in a cost of living that is quite reasonable, especially when compared to other major cities across the country, and Las Vegas starts to look not only exciting, but also affordable!
If all the fun memories you have enjoyed in Las Vegas have you thinking about packing up and making a permanent move, these are just a few of the reasons why the Entertainment Capital of the World is also a great place to make your home.

Now, thanks to our new Micros interface system, you need simply show your valid license or personal identification to charge anything from any of our resort outlets to your room with authorization.
These outlets include 17° South Booze & Bites, the WikiWiki, the Grab-N-Go, the pool bars and Mahana Spa. It’s just another way we’re making your vacation experience as convenient and enjoyable as possible.

It didn’t take long to transform our activities center (fifth floor, Tower 5) from beaten down to beautiful. The much-needed renovation project put a whole new gloss on a high-traffic area, and it took only two days to install new carpeting, apply fresh paint and replace the existing billiard, air hockey and foosball tables. You may now resume your fun!

New Smoking Areas Established For Pool, Lazy River And Hot Tubs; Policy Takes Effect Saturday, August 9th
This has been the busiest summer we’ve ever experienced at Tahiti Village. With increased visitor volume we have seen more tubes floating on the Lazy River, more kids enjoying themselves in the pool and, unfortunately, more cigarette and other types of smoke and vapor in close proximity to children and families. Subsequently, we have also had a significant jump in requests to create a more balanced breathing environment inside our aquatic features.
As a resort that attracts a wide variety of visitors, from singles to couples but especially families, we have been obliged over the years to balance the needs and wants of a diverse group of people to make everyone’s vacation experience as equitable and enjoyable as possible. We have been careful to consider the wishes of one group with those of another. In the case of our public pool smoking policy, however, we have had challenges in forging a compatible arrangement between smokers and nonsmokers.
Therefore, in response to numerous requests and concerns, we have changed our policy that previously permitted smoking inside our aquatic attractions. The new rule takes effect immediately and prohibits the use of cigarettes, cigars, pipes and any type of e-cigarette (including vapor) inside the pool area, Lazy River and both hot tubs. Smoking will be permitted in two specially designated areas near the pool areas. One is just outside the northeast pool gate next to Tower 1, the other conveniently located in front of the tube storage area next to the bathrooms in the modular structure across from the Lazy River. We apologize to anyone who is inconvenienced by the new rule and thank you for your cooperation.
